The clients wanted to turn their barren landscape into a space of serenity mixing the uses of relaxation and entertainment. Their focuses were re-doing the deck, the addition of a fire pit area, and attracting pollinators.

I worked a with a deck contractor and submit permits to the city. I discussed paver, natural stone, and plant options with the customers and got their approval. The biggest challenge with this project were the drastic changes in elevation which made it difficult to accurately judge deck heights, stairway runs and landings, flagstone pathway grade, and the elevation of the new fire pit area. The customers absolutely loved the transformation and they regularly enjoy their backyard now.
